Common Questions
Is there a setup or onboarding fee?
No. All tiers include onboarding assistance at no extra cost. For Tier 2 and above, we include a dedicated staff training session. Custom Software projects are scoped separately on a fixed-price basis.
How is the population tier determined?
We use the most recent Statistics Canada census population figure for your municipality. If your boundary has changed or you dispute the census number, we work with you to verify the correct tier.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my tier?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time and we'll pro-rate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the next annual renewal date.
Is our data stored in Canada?
Yes. All MunicipalGIS data is stored on Canadian servers. We do not transfer municipal data outside of Canada. Our infrastructure meets PIPEDA requirements for Canadian public bodies.
What does the free trial include?
The free trial gives you a fully functional MunicipalGIS environment for 30 days. We'll migrate up to 3 of your existing GIS datasets for free so you can see the platform with your own data. No credit card required.
Does the annual price include HST?
No. All listed prices are before HST. As a business-to-business transaction with a Canadian corporation, HST applies at the rate applicable in your province (15% for NL). We provide a proper invoice for your accounts payable.
